Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi who is the best palyer?

It’s the debate that will never end. And it’s one of the great arguments that will probably be revisited every decade until football is killed off by play-at-home gaming consoles. Who is the better player? Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?
Comparing the greatness of football superstars is about as primitive yet fascinating as the game itself. The tussle could end in a stalemate, but it will still keep everyone entertained from start to finish. But unlike a football match, the result can never be determined irrefutably. There are just too many factors to consider and while one player may be regarded as the best by one fan, another supporter will invariably disagree.

But Marca recently came up with an ingenious way of counter-acting Messi’s crowning as the best footballer of 2009 by suggesting that Ronaldo is a more complete player.

Cristiano Ronaldo Will Shine For Portugal, said"the Portugal chief."

Portugal will take on Brazil, Ivory Coast and North Korea in Group G of next summer's World Cup and head coach Carlos Queiroz has tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to impress in South Africa and help his side to glory.

"It's not fair to say that Cristiano has been underwhelming at international level. He's already close to the top goalscorer s of all time for the national team. That says something," Queiroz told reporters.

"In the year he was voted the best in the world he did not have any injuries. This had a big influence on his performance. He’ll get back to the top again. I expect that in the World Cup he will win some games on his own.said"the Portugal chief."

Pakistan hopes rest on young shoulders

Finally the teeth were bared and, though it may be too late for them to make an impression here, it could yet prove a worthwhile baring. Pakistan must have many more moments with Umar Akmal and Mohammad Aamer at the centre if they are to stand a chance in the series.

The long-standing beauty of Pakistan cricket has been their faith in youth. It does not always last as long as it should, but is enough for them to throw them in without questions, where other nations tend to wait and miss the moment. In other spheres Pakistan is very rigidly structured with utmost deference to seniority of age and experience, but from the days of Kardar, their cricket has been comfortable with chancing it on teenaged sensations.

Hauritz five seals Australian victory

The Australians rounded out 2009 with their most clinical final day bowling performance of the year to seal a 170 run victory over Pakistan. Nathan Hauritz, placed on notice by Australia's selectors prior to the series, claimed his first career five-wicket haul as Pakistan crumbled from 3 for 170 overnight to be all out for 251 shortly after lunch on the final day.

Hauritz's ability to exploit wearing pitches had been called into question of late, not least by Andrew Hilditch, and he proved himself worthy of the challenge on Wednesday. Unable to replicate the biting turn that accounted for Faisal Iqbal the previous day, Hauritz instead utilised flight and bounce to challenge Pakistan's lower and middle orders and was rewarded with four final-day scalps.

Lionel Messi won the Ballon d’Or as European best footballer of the year on Monday (Nov. 30), becoming the first argentine in receiving the prestigious accolade. He was voted by 96 voters that gave him 473 points out of a possible 480. “Honestly, I knew that I was among the favorites because Barcelona had a fruitful year in 2009,” Messi told the press. “But I didn’t expect to win with such a margin. The Ballon d’Or is very important to me. All the players who won it were great players, and some great players never won it,” he added. Ganguly: My career prospered under Tendulkar's captaincy

Sachin Tendulkar may not have been a huge success as India captain but many a young career bloomed under his leadership, said former India skipper Sourav Ganguly.

"When I was trying to find my feet in international cricket, it was a huge learning experience to play under Tendulkar. He had given a lot of support as a player and as a captain and my career blossomed under him," Ganguly said on the sidelines of a Tendulkar felicitation on Tuesday.

Lampard gets Blues off hook

Two goals in as many second half minutes saw Chelsea come from behind to defeat a resolute Fulham side 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Monday afternoon.

Zoltan Gera had given the visitors a stunning early lead when he expertly controlled and finished inside four minutes and Bobby Zamora was superbly denied by Petr Cech just after half-time.

But just as it looked like it would be yet another frustrating afternoon for Chelsea, they levelled through a Didier Drogba header on 73 minutes before an own goal from Chris Smalling handed them victory two minutes later.

The victory, which was just the Blues’ second in eight matches, puts them five points clear of Manchester United – who have a game in hand – at the top of the Premier League, while Fulham lose for the first time in nine games.
